Obtaining the right to use photos
License
If you are publishing books or papers or if you are
working in the advertising industry, or if you think the
photos shown on this site might be useful for you for
any purpose, you can obtain the right to reproduce them
in your publications. There are many types of
licenses (Rights managed, Royalty free, exclusively or
not) and the cost of publication may differ depending on
many parameters.
To determine the real cost of the license, the
author needs to know:

Where and how will the photos be published?

In which size they will be reproduced?

What will the quantity of the publication be?
-
Do you need the right to reproduce the photos
exclusively or not exclusively?

When you ask for a quote in the shopping cart, please
answer the questions above filling the field “Add a note
for this item” to allow the author to determine the
right license and the exact cost of publication.
How to obtain a license
To obtain a license for the publication of an image,
choose the photo from this site and
open the
shopping cart
in
the menu bar. In this window you can find the
information of the photo. In the field ‘Format’
choose the ‘License:
Rights Managed’
option and filling the field “Add
a note for this item”
to allow the author to determine the right license and
the exact cost of publication.
Add photos to the cart with the
button "Add
to Cart" and then, with
the button "View
Cart" you can check the
order status, cost and any discounts obtained. Now you
can go back again on the site to choose other images for
publications, using the same procedure mentioned above,
or proceed with the request for quote by clicking on the
button "Checkout"
and enter your data in the required fields.
Ivan
Sgualdini will proceed to quantify the cost of the
license and contact you later to communicate the final
estimate, which you can definitively accept or not.
All images will be delivered digitally in jpg or tif
format either via email, or they will be made available
for download as soon as possible after the stock
photography order has been completed. For
large orders,
Ivan Sgualdini can create a secure directory on the web
site to download the required picture and release the
password after the full payment, or in alternative a
DVDs of digital files can be provided for the cost of
the media and shipping.
Payment
The most popular way of paying is via
PayPal,
but other ways are also accepted.
If you chose to pay via PayPal Ivan Sgualdini will send
a PayPal money request to you. PayPal allows you to pay
in many different ways, e.g. via credit card or
postcard.
Buy Prints
If you just like photos shown on this web site, you can
order prints of them if you want.

(other formats are possible as well, just

Images will be sized
to the longest dimension of the paper.
Print size
refers to the size of the paper, not the image. Sometimes
the aspect ratio of an image difers from the aspect ratio of
the paper.
For example, a panoramic image will match the longest width
of the paper, but it may not fill the height of the paper.
Print orders do not include matting or framing.
The author do not offers matting or framing because
individual preferences vary. You will be more satisfied if
you choose a frame for yourself that will compliment the
photo and your home or office decor.
All prints are also available in black and white or sepia.
If you want a black and white or sepia version of the image,
please specify so in the ‘Tone‘ box of the shopping cart
window. A little preview will be shown.
The copyright text found on the images of this site will not
be included on your print.

To order one or more prints you can enjoy browsing the site
looking at the photos in different albums. When you find a
picture of where you want to print, open the
shopping cart
in the
menu bar. In this window you can find the information of the
photo, the print format to select, price and amount to be
requested.
After selecting the data, you can add photos to the cart
with the button "Add
to Cart"
After that, with the button "View
Cart" you can check the
order status, cost and any discounts obtained.
Now you can go back again on the site to choose other
images, using the same procedure mentioned above, or proceed
with the order by clicking on the button "Checkout"
and enter your data in the required fields.
Ivan Sgualdini will contact you later for more details and
always check that the chosen images can be printed in the
required formats without losing quality (the photos were
taken in time with different camera bodies and different
resolutions).

the reduced size of the picture at 1600x1200 pixels and
publish it on your website, provided that there
will be a copyright mark of Ivan Sgualdini
or/and, if possible, a link to this site.
